Gov. Ned Lamont on Monday said that he believes the $125 million in federal coronavirus relief funding that he set aside for the state’s nonprofit social service providers is enough to get them through the calendar year.

But a coalition of the service agencies on Monday sent the governor a request for $22 million to carry them into 2021, when presumably a new
Congress would vote on another round of COVID-19 relief funding that could top $460 million over the next five years.
