Case Management for Clients with Trauma-Related Symptoms

June 22, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Case Management for Clients with Trauma-Related Symptoms

This course has two parts that assist in creating effective case management plans when trauma is an issue. Part one reviews the impact of vicarious trauma, counter-transference, and compassion fatigue on the burnout process of the practitioner. The training content will assist the participant in identifying the signs and symptoms of each as well as the difference in impact between direct trauma and vicarious trauma on their relationships with clients and other staff. The second part of the training will focus upon assessing the effects of trauma on the client by looking at the level of resiliency and coping skills present. This assessment will then be tied to the skills of prioritizing realistic goals to meet individual needs, developing effective case management plans, and executing those plans.

Program Fees:
The member fee is $120 and the nonmember fee is $170 for general registration.
