Understanding Cross Sector Collaboration in Connecticut Cities
Wednesday, April 25, 2018
9:30am – 11:00am
Alliance Offices, Rocky Hill
Presented by Erin Graves, Senior Policy Analyst, Policy Advisor Regional & Community Outreach, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
Many institutions, foundations, governments and organizations across the U.S. identify cross-sector collaboration as a key part of effective governance and community impact. However, there is a dearth of empirical evidence that accompanies this idea. Join Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Researcher Erin Graves who will discuss findings from a Fed project measuring cross sector collaboration in more than a dozen Connecticut cities. The measurement is based on a survey of over 500 organizational leaders from three principle sectors: government, nonprofit, and business. Which sector reports the highest level of collaboration? the lowest? How are these findings the same/different compared with your experience in CT cities and towns? What are the policy implications of these findings for CT? What do the findings suggest different sectors and actors could do differently to maximize impact on shared issues? Erin’s presentation will be followed by Q&A.
The Alliance is pleased to partner with the CCP and the United Way of CT on this presentation.
