WTNH: Nonprofits say they’re the forgotten part of the healthcare system in this coronavirus crisis

CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Community Health Resources serves 26,000 patients a year in Connecticut and help with everything from mental health issues to substance abuse treatment all over the state.

During the coronavirus pandemic, their job has become even more crucial.

“It’s an accurate characterization to say that everybody is under a lot of stress,” said Heather Gates, the CEO of Community Health Resources.
