On Sunday, Alliance President and CEO, appeared on WFSB’s Face the State to discuss the affects of potential budget cuts on nonprofit organizations, as well as the benefits of converting many state-run services to the nonprofit sector. Connecticut can save hundreds of millions of dollars each year, saving programs from closure and expanding opportunities for thousands of people who languish on waiting lists by shifting the remaining state-provided services into the community. This process saves the state money and allows nonprofits to be part of the solution to the budget crisis we are facing.
