“The Governor’s new budget proposal is a welcome step forward in the process and would improve funding for many social services over current funding in the Executive Order.
“Thousands of people across Connecticut who rely on community services that have been reduced or closed during this budget stalemate and have come to the Capitol in recent weeks, need a budget resolution. Nonprofit providers support and save lives every day in every city and town in the state. The Alliance hopes today’s proposals move us closer to a final budget agreement that will fully fund programs that thousands depend on and make our government more efficient.”
