“A strike that would keep caregivers from people with disabilities won’t be good for anyone. We support legislation that would have the state fund pay increases to prevent it, and we are pleased that the House has passed it.
“The Alliance also supports legislative proposals to provide funding increases to human service providers in all sectors, who have been underfunded or had funding repeatedly reduced for more than a decade.
“Those providers also deserve the funds to provide wage increases for their staff and to restore programs that have been eliminated or reduced because of budget cuts.”
