Election 2024

Election 2024

The stakes are high for community nonprofits this election season. On November 5, Connecticut will hold elections for the state legislature as well as federal representation in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. These officials will shape state and federal policy for the coming years.

Election related activities are part of a larger continuum of civic engagement for many in the nonprofit community. By engaging voters and candidates this election season, nonprofits will further their missions, have a positive impact on communities, build relationships with potential and current elected officials, and increase the general understanding of policy issues important to community nonprofits.

2024 Candidate Questionnaires

The Alliance asked the candidates running for the state legislature to answer a few questions about their experience with and support for nonprofits. You can read their responses below, or by clicking the link.

To see if candidates from your town have responded, click the “filter” button, change the field to “town” and find yours on the list. Don’t see your candidate listed? Find your candidate’s contact info here and ask them to complete the questionnaire.
